There are countless others in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and other battlegrounds every day. This is only a summary created after a very short internet search and focused primarily on recent attacks and attacks on Western soil. It is not meant to be exhaustive.

Domestic acts of violence are also on the rise: in Norway 2011, Aurora Colorado 2012, Columbine HS 1999, Sandyhook Elementary 2012. . . and on and on.

Victims of terror attacks deserve to be honored and commemorated, wherever and whenever the attack occurred.
